​A COMMON QUESTION ...

 

"If you are serving with TeachBeyond, then why are contributions given to Greater Europe Mission?"

​

We started our mission service with GEM in 1980 and enjoyed ministering with the GEM team in Belgium for 15 years (church planting and school administration/teaching), and then in Germany for another 10 years, serving the TeachBeyond school, the Black Forest Academy (administration/teaching).  In 2007 we returned to the USA where I helped in GEM recruitment.  In 2010 I was aware of the need for TeachBeyond to recruit for their expanding vision of serving schools world wide, not just for BFA.  I met with TeachBeyond leadership and then discussed with GEM the possibility of being "seconded" (put on loan) to TeachBeyond. This is indeed a very common practice among mission agencies as we all strive together to serve in like-minded ministries.  For over four years I have been serving directly with TeachBeyond through the support you and others are generously giving to GEM. 

​

I have been blessed to serve with two very good organizations and have many dear friends and colleagues both at GEM and TeachBeyond. 

There may be some of you who may want to support us through donating through TeachBeyond.  This is certainly possible.  I am able to use any funds given to TeachBeyond solely for reimbursable ministry expenses that I incur in my service to them.  Some examples of this include:

  • North Africa travel and expenses

  • Office supplies

  • Phone costs

Please make checks payable to Greater Europe Mission. For IRS compliance, please do not write our names or account numbers on the subject line of the check. You can indicate the ministry to which you want to give using a separate note or a response card.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER

Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) are economical, safe, and efficient. With EFT you can save time and the inconvenience of writing and mailing monthly checks – and your missionary will benefit from the continuity. For details about the service, please call 800-436-4488, extension 121.


To get started, simply:

     1. Print the "pop-up" form.
     2. Along with your completed form, include a voided check from the   

         bank you wish to use. This will give GEM the necessary banking

         information to begin the EFT service.
     3. Mail a completed form and your check to:
